Captain Cogbrow Pro Kit Documentation
Welcome to the Captain Cogbrow Pro Kit Documentation. These docs will provide you everything you need to upgrade your standard edition Captain Cogbrow kit to the pro version, using the pro upgrade kit parts.
As well, until the new version of Bottango’s software is released, this is where you’ll download the version of Bottango with assembly steps if you are building Captain Cogbrow for the first time with pro parts.
If you have a standard kit that you are upgrading with a seperate Pro Upgrade kit:
If you haven’t already built your Captain Cogbrow using the standard parts, put this documentation aside, and follow the instructions in the welcome packet in your kit, as well as the assembly instructions in the Bottango desktop application. You can come back here to upgrade to pro parts with your pro upgrade kit.
If you have a pro kit that shipped with the pro parts in the box:
Use the software on this website instead to use the new pro kit assembly steps and build your Captain Cogbrow.
With the pro kit we add onboard speakers to your animatronic, and add hardware that lets you use those speakers. We’ll also enable wireless control, as well as teach you how to export out animations to playback with no computer needed. Before you start using pro functionality though, you should have built your animatronic and ideally gotten a little comfortable playing animations, and hopefully even made a few animations of your own!
State of the Pro Upgrade Kit
The hard side of the pro kit is done and ready for you. The software side of this is still finalizing. Everything is for the most part functional, but there are still bugs to squash and quirks to solve.
Your patience is greatly appreciated, and help as well! If you have feedback, issues, questions, etc. you can reach out to Bottango:
- The best way to get help is in the Bottango Discord community. Bottango developers and users all help each other out there.
- You can reach out to contact@bottango.com as well.
This documentation will be updated as the software side of things finalizes as well.
